ROOM becomes official media partner of Reinventing Space conference

The British Interplanetary Society is pleased to announce that ROOM – The Space Journal will become the official media partner for the Reinventing Space conference and exhibition (RISpace) which will take place at the Royal Society in London between Monday 24 and Thursday 27 October 2016.

ROOM – The Space Journal has quickly established itself as a magazine for an international, modern, forward-thinking audience and is the perfect partner for RISpace 2016 which is highlighting the trends that will define space enterprise a decade from now.

ROOM’s contributors are experts from across the space industry, leaders and scientists and researchers from all over the world. They are committed to the promotion of peaceful exploration of space for the benefit of humankind, bringing incisive articles on a wide variety of current topics.

The focus of the 14th RISpace conference will be on how technology trends are leading to the increasing commercialisation of space, including low cost launch systems, mega-constellations, and a range of novel satellite applications, both in LEO and beyond.

The conference will be hosting nine keynotes, six panels, 31 oral papers organised into five sessions and up to 20 posters.

Commenting on the partnership, Scott Hatton, Chair of the Organising Committee for RISpace 2016 said: “Reinventing Space this year is focusing on how technology is increasing the commercialisation of space – lower cost launch systems, mega-constellations, and a range of novel satellite applications, both in LEO and beyond.

“ROOM’s forward-looking approach means that it is the perfect partner for RISpace. Both the conference and magazine are looking at how innovations in launchers and spacecraft mean that costs are being lowered dramatically, driving the space industry forward at this pivotal time”.

Clive Simpson, ROOM managing editor, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with RIspace which has become a significant and forward-looking conference for those involved with all aspects of future space technology, science and research.”

“In supporting RISpace 2016, we are excited to be part of this important conference taking place in the unparalleled environment of the Royal Society, one of London’s major scientific institutions.”
