MxSpace to join efforts with Deep Space Industries

A historic contract between MxSpace, an association of Mexican commercial space companies Deep Space Industries, an international asteroid mining company will be signed at the 67 th International Astronautical Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico, on September 29, 2016.

On September 29, at 11:00 a.m. local time, Deep Space Industries (DSI) and MxSpace will sign an historic agreement that marks the beginning of an international partnership between the companies to promote the development of new commercial space technologies and business ventures. Dr. Francisco Mendieta from Agencia Espacial Mexicana (AEM), as well as executives from both MxSpace and Deep Space Industries, will take part in the signing ceremony at the MxSpace booth (booth #24) on the trade show floor of the 67th International Astronautical Congress in Guadalajara.

“The development and eventual settlement of space will be a combined effort of many countries, companies, and people,” said Rick Tumlinson, Chairman of the Board at Deep Space Industries. “Partnerships like this one are an important step in developing a thriving, international ecosystem of space companies and organizations that work together for the benefit of all humanity.”

The agreement between MxSpace and Deep Space Industries focuses on ways the two companies can help support each other in both the near and long term. This includes sharing and promoting each other’s technology products, collaboration on proposals, and seeking joint funding and business opportunities.

Additionally, the companies will jointly support domestic and international regulatory and policy positions of mutual interest. This includes working towards a future in which all nations play a part in space exploration, development, and industrialization.
